Cell Testing

The investment in your stationary battery system is considerable. To safeguard this investment, it is vital that your battery installation be inspected and maintained on a monthly basis. Your monthly preventative maintenance service should not be confused with the inspection required to troubleshoot a specific battery or cell problem.

Severe battery damage can be minimized if minor problems can be identified early and corrective action is taken. Poor routine battery maintenance and operational procedures can lead to extensive irreversible battery damage. Monthly battery maintenance can also identify batteries in poor condition so that corrective service can be performed before the battery or string of batteries fails.

With rare exception, few people within an organization have the skills and test equipment necessary to identify battery problems. If your organization does not have a battery and power specialist, we recommend you contact TT&P to evaluate your battery maintenance program.

TT&P utilizes some of the most sophisticated testing equipment available to evaluate your battery installation. Using either the Alber CellCorder (internal resistance), or the Midtronics Celltron Advanced (conductance) we can look deep inside your batteries to see what is really happening from the inside out. Even the most advanced battery testing equipment is still just a prediction of  how your batteries will deliver under a load, the only way to know exactly what your batteries will give you is to actually load test them with a load bank.
